1.Sergio Oliva was a Cuban native who left the country to pursue a career in weightlifting. Sergio, a three peat champion winner of 1967, 1968 and 1969 where Sergio beat Arnold Schwarzenegger.
He got the nickname ‘The Myth’ because of his unreal physique.
There was another competition of 1972 where he couldn’t win the title but the winner of the time Arnold himself confessed that Sergio was the deserving winner for the title.
Sergio Oliva unfortunately died at the age of 71 because of kidney failure on November 12, 2012.
