James Drury – Dies at 85
James Drury began his acting career at the young age of 12 with the movie Life of Father. Maybe it was his early start which made him a star but he would go on to make a name for himself by acting in a slew of Western movies. His big moment to shine in the spotlight came in 1962 when he was cast as the title lead in the 90-minute NBC series The Virginian. After a run of 249 episodes, the series ended but Drury went on with his movies and TV show guesting roles. His last credited role was all the way back in 2005 with a small budget movie called Hell to Pay. Since then, he chooses to make very few public appearances given his advanced age but is said to always oblige his fans with photos and a warm smile. James dies at April 6, 2020.
