Kaziranga National park has succeeded in protecting rhinos there but in the process have allowed to kill potential poachers. Over a century ago there were about only a few Indian one horned rhinos there but now they accumulate to the one third of the world’s population which is a total of 2400 but more people have been shot or killed by the workers there then people have killed rhinos
People believe that these horns contain cure to cancer and other deadly diseases and because of that they are more valuable than gold and are sold for as much as 6,000$ per gram.
So this does makes a case for the rhinos but there should be a limit. People are being killed just on the basis of claims and the workers can basically get away with murder
